Never posted anything last week about the genius that is our manager who managed to get it all wrong at Tannadice thought I would wait and see what the outcome of the Saint J game was .Well no change ,the manager still thinks it's okay to go into our shell in the second half and play our centre out left in the midfield .We were garbage for the whole of the second half somehow we don't look fit,we were well of the pace last week and today was the same only good thing was results went for us .Hope we can come out and blow ICT away midweek but we will need to be a lot better![]()

Got to admit that the second half was dire ..but I would accept the same performance and outcome on Wed. Right now its sbout getting the results and finishing as high up the table as possible.
To state the game was dire is just not right. As others say the result is the important thing at the business end of the season. That said we did play some pretty negative stuff in the second half and our midfield didn't help matters much.
To balance that we played some good attacking football in spells in the first half.
Still I've seen much much worse games at Fir Park.
Woeful second half performance as sat sat back and were dictated by a feisty St Johnston.
However, they had few goal chances and recall only one where Hollis made a fine save.
Defence under immense pressure that should have been avoided with use of subs
McCall continues not to make effective use of bench and IMO should have bolstered mid-field. i.e. Leitch (?)
at the expense of either McFadden/Ainsworth much earlier. Sutton was dead on his feet towards end and
perhaps Moore could have kept St Johnston fearful of breakaway
Ainsworth continues to frustrate as apart from goal AWOL and took until 65th minute before an effective involvement
and should be contributing more. Angol is clueless going forward and often carried throughout game.
When both poor/AWOL we have no forward penetration ... Doh
I expect similar performance mid-week and entertaining it aint but hey all you Europa Cup guys will have something to look forward
Can't agree more, it's a disgrace we only beat one of the form teams in the league by one goal. We had European football secured by this time last season, why have we failed this year? Improving our record points total by only one with two games to spare is also a massive disappointment. When we replaced half our squad last year and got rid of all those goals, pace and creativity we had a real chance to bring in new players and kick on to challenge for the title. It simply hasn't happened.
McCall must go and he can take Ainsworth with him. How anyone can think an attacking player producing a goal a game in over 20 appearances is acceptable is beyond me.
A tad harsh Handsome_Devil but entitled to your opinion![]()
Wasn't there yesterday but what mattered to me was we won, Aberdeen got pumped and we are within one point of them with a possible six points to play for. We have two cup finals coming up and we need everyone behind the management team and players. We have amassed 64 points this season with arguably a poorer team than last season (according to many). I think that speaks volumes for our Manager. Our team will always have flaws but that's what makes being a well fan so interesting. Two games, six points, lets do this.
Fpuck thats you put the jinx on it saying we have two cup games coming up ...Originally Posted by allan73
