    Chorley & Webster

Ben Chorley is a strange bloke, history of red cards, just back from suspension & a pretty blatant kick @ Reid (which connected) & luckily the ref missed it. Can we have such a hot head who will miss large parts of the season through suspension?
Webster-not a defender for me, gets caught out too often. However Adam has something about him & is comfortable with the ball @ his feet & goes past players easily. DM maybe?

Chorley is becoming a worry. He comes back for 2 games and we let in 7. His discipline is a problem.

Find somebody else, he's not the answer.

Webster is still young, so give next season he either needs to learn fast, or he will be gone.

Maybe it's not his natural position, but he has been playing there a while, so you would hope he gets the hang of defending.

I thought Webster's positional sense was awful yesterday. I think if he is ever going to make it in this team it would more likely be a marauding full back rather than an orthodox right back. He's a threat from set-pieces too.

As for Chorley, he has leadership skills but at the same time he loves collecting cards and is a liability. Can't be relied on and if he was to go I don't think too many of us would complain.

That is one thing our squad really lacks. A true leader on the pitch who isn't a liability.

Agree with you about Webster - poor positional sense, easily turned and physically weak (bottled the challenge for the third Plymouth goal). Looks as coltish as a year ago. I guess he's not on big money so wouldn't be surprised if he gets another year. If Awford can't sort him out then let go.

Worst defence, alongside Torquay, of all the teams in the division. Apart from Shorey (and Whatmough) Awford would be justified in getting replacements for the lot although whether anyone would take off our hands those under contract is another matter.

I agree with criticism of Chorley, its no good having a good experienced captain if he is not available to play cos of multiple suspensions, he needs to go.

I agree... a suspension waiting to happen... getting yourself sent off is not my idea of a captain and role model... don't forget he was even suspended when he arrived
Give Webster another season.. he may well develop into a DM

He was indeed sent off twice last season, he received an extra game suspension for a second offence for being red carded for us.
