Why was tricky's Subway post removed?

Wrong board, but why was it removed rather than transferred over here? It posed an interesting question which had been met with interesting replies. I was just about to post this reply when it was pulled, Tricky can ask the original question.

You own a shop, for 3 years you buy fresh ham every week and throw 6/8ths of it away as it has gone off, do you continue to buy ham?

Of course you do. But your business sense tells you only to buy the 2/8 you sell. Those customers who buy it are happy.

How difficult was that to please everyone?

Depends if that 2/8 is cost effective as the smaller amounts you buy at your supplier the higher the cost.
