..as well as a wage cap for next season, and a reduction in their Champions League squad from 25 players to 21 (8 of which must be 'homegrown')..
Will UEFA have the clout / minerals to see this one through, I wonder ? - view external link

Am I missing something?
Are the FFP rules only applied to European competition, or can we expect a similar punishment being applied, for the same breach, by the Premier League?
Also, is fining a club with an incredibly rich owner, really going to make a difference?
Surely point deductions are the way forward, such as Citeh starting their Champion's League group on a minus, with the figure decided by the amount by which they exceeded the FFP rules. I.E. Just breached, -1 point. Blow it out of the water, -3.
Same in the Premier League. Hit them where it hurts, by deducting points.
The problem with that rather naive idea Baz is that points can't find their way to Uefa Committee Members' bank accounts...50m certainly can though!!
Not sure UEFA have any clout, too many of them corrupted and compromised.
A?50 million is loose change to Sheik Mansour.
Restrictive salary caps and, in particular, reduced squad numbers for the Champions League will hit them harder..

Is it though Kernow? Eventually he will want some if not all of his money back.
Is it city or the sheik who make a loss?
Not being one to ever stick up for the skates, but normally the fine for this sort of thing is points off, at least i would consider any breach of financial rules to be akin to admin. I think the FA have bottled out here as they know points off will hand the title to Liverpool and they do not want to belittle this seasons title in such a way.
City haven't breached any FA rules, this is a European issue only.Originally Posted by st_bangkok

One rule for the rich...
