    Lose and it's terminal decline

Apparently Rod Liddle wrote in The Sunday Times that if Wigan don't get promotoed this time round it'll lead to a rapid slide through the leagues. Have no intention of buying my way into their website but wonder if anyone has read it. My view is that he can know little of the mentality of Dave and Uwe - and he is a Millwall fan. Big game on Friday and a lot at stake - but not that much at stake.

IMO it's cobblers. Mid table Championship at the very worst. The manager and chairman and their relationship are the most important men in any club look at this years Prem

Players come and go but as long as the supporters are seeing good winning football I don't see any reason for the support to die away.

There are some massive teams in this league both historically and attendance wise but they are still championship teams.. financial mismanagement, trigger happy chairman..two of the things we don't have.

I enjoyed sticking to the big boys in the Prem as probably Crystal Palace fans did last night. But I have also enjoyed second half of this season..but if we are going to have a season in the championship where we win more than we lose we have to realise that it may lead us into a play off place once in a while

Sir Dave says he wants to get us back in the Prem so he will do it..What Whelan wants Whelan gets!!!!!

I forking love this little club

I guess if we don't go up and we lose Maloney, McMannaman, Gomez, Ramis, Beuasejour it could be awkward but I get the feeling Uwe will have a series of enthusiastic young lads who will follow orders lined up. So long as Dave and Uwe stay fit and get on we'll be OK.

What a load of rubbish we have a young hungry manager and a chairman that knows what it takes to get success if we don't make it this year just watch us next season. When Uwe took over we were nowhere near the play off positions. He's done it with good management and spent no money. If Burnley can do it so can we and I bet they don't do 8 seasons in the premier league either.

It was all doom and gloom when we got relegated now we're 3 games away from getting promoted, it was all doom and gloom when we started our defence of the FA Cup yet we reached the semi final.

If its do or die for us according to this Millwall fan in the media, what then does it make it for QPR? Promotion or bust i'd say

QPR could be in the real ****e if they don't go up, people call Whelan but least we know we'll not be that bad off if we don't go up or even if we yo yo for a couple of seasons. Some clubs live on a knifes edge we don't.

I think people under estimate our club.. Boozer joe is leaving thats not a secret.. ramis maybe but hes injury prone and failed 2 medicals... Mcmannaman will be a huge money signing if they meet the valuation... Gomez is playing well and enjoying his football so he might want to stay ... Maloney , well he owes us one... but I think he will be happy to stay and get back to his best .. also there are players out there that rosler will be targeting that will be young , hungry and probably just as good if not better than some of the squad we have now..
Most journalists talk out of their ****s anyway...
We have a good 12-14,000 regulars at home and I for one have really enjoy

Yes little old Wigan Athletic, FA Cup winners, played in Europe, FA Cup semi finalists. When was your last big trophy put in the cabinet? Your last european outing? and I don't mean flashing in Benidorm.
