    5 players released

Atkins, O'Connor, Hoganson, Ball and Gjokaj have all been released as they are out of contract.

I wonder why there is no mention of Legzdins, Bailey and Davies who I think are all out of contract to? Maybe waiting to see which league we are in?

When does Freeman's contract end to? - view external link

    No surprises there.

As for Legzdins and Bailey, they've been around the squad, so surely won't be touched until the end of the play-offs.

Freeman must have another year or two?

No complaints about any of these players leaving as we need better than that, even as cover in order to move to the next level, which hopefully come 24th May is what we'll be doing.

I would have kept them all until after the play-offs though. The season for us hasn't finished yet and although they may not have played for us this year, they were still players that belonged to Derby County for the whole season, so if we do go up, they deserve to be a part of that because they were a part of Derby.

I disagree. I think we do them no favours by keeping them hanging on for another few weeks. This gives them maximum time to start finding new clubs. We are doing the right thing by them here.

Absolutely right, we are not going to use them so might as well let them find clubs now rather than later. I guess the other players will be released or moved on once we know the outcome o
