    Old Firm Definition

Christopher Brookmyre the celebrated author and St Mirren fan defined the old firm brilliantly in one of his novels

Old Firm - Ingenious idiot identification scheme which tags halfwits, criminals, thugs and assorted neerdowells voluntarily in blue or green and white garment's making them easier for the rest of us to avoid.

    I reckon he nailed it.

There's no need for an apostrophe in 'garments'.

Some author he is if he doesn't know where to stick apostrophes.

    It's not difficult.

Well he's strictly incorrect because the Old Firm is no more. Rangers died in 2012.

the guy seems more of a fhanny than an author to me.

his books canny be that interesting if he has to bring the old firm into it.
