United reject Blackpool permission to speak to McNamara.

**** aff diddypool, done the same with Houston aswell.

Jackie McNamara said, "While flattered at the interest shown, I am very happy at Dundee United and wish to continue the job and build upon the foundations laid down over the last eighteen months or so. I view the approach as a positive endorsement of all the hard work undertaken by everyone at the Club in that period and have no plans to leave. All of my focus is on the forthcoming William Hill Scottish Cup final and preparations for the new season ahead." - view external link

He wasn't exactly loyal to Partick Thistle. Like most people involved in football these days, he will go where he is offered the highest wages.

He may not have been loyal but Partick to United was an undoubted step up on and off the park.

Blackpool, as a whole football club, are a complete and utter mess just now. Only an idiot would want that job.

Who is their manager just now by the way?
