Former Rangers star Charlie Miller will stand trial later this year accused of urinating in the street and failing to provide a breath test.

Miller, 38, from Bishopbriggs in East Dunbartonshire, is charged with urinating on Woodville Street in the Ibrox area of Glasgow in November last year.

He is also accused of failing to give the police two breath samples at Govan Police Station.

Miller appeared in the dock at Glasgow's Justice of the Peace Court on Thursday.

He maintained his plea of not guilty and the case was continued until September due to a lack of court time.

Miller featured for Rangers from 1993 until 1999 and during that time spent periods on loan at Leicester City and Watford.

He has also played for Dundee United ,Norwegian team SK Brann and Australian team Gold Coast United before finishing his playing career with Clyde in 2011.
