    Aberdeen game

Sportscene have, as they always do, deleted the Pittodrie game highlights. Can you get it anywhere else?

    re: Aberdeen game

Thanks a lot - it's into my 'Favourites'. Just watching it...there was some contrast between our sometimes-maligned 'keeper and the Dons' goalie. Hollis came out as some head-tennis was going on in our box. He didn't make great contact, but he did enough, and certainly made sure that the Aberdeen player (Mark Reynolds?)wouldn't be heading it anywhere. If Jamie Langfield had adopted the same approach towards big John I probably wouldn't be posting this.

Just watched it again for the first time in a few days, still laughing.

Does anyone else think that Langfield went up for the ball like a wet fish.

When a goalkeeper goes to clear a ball, he should be strong, positive and ready to knock everyone out the road with his momentum (without fouling). He looked so tentative and unsure that he deserved what he got.

I'm still not convinced Langfield was fouled at all. This controversy was largely stirred up by a petulant Derek McInnes and Aberdeen fans including those employed by the media. The same folk have remained totally silent about Russell Anderson's illegal goal months ago.

Langfield's attempt to clear the ball was very poor, he comes for the ball then stops. He's trying to jump from basically a standing start, the slightest touch and he's going to get knocked over as he has no momentum going towards the ball. If he kept going instead of stopping he would probably got something on the ball. He's not nicknamed clangers for nothing. I just love the look on the Stewart Milne, the Aberdeen chairmans face in the video. He,s just seen A£250.000 grand slip from his grasp.
