No ta! My son I were already down and disillusioned first time around that we were resigned to not going and he committed himself to go in to work. Even turned two tickets down last night after texting him to see if he wanted to go.

Things like this plus of course changes to the game is what loses fans in the long run.

I went every week until it went all seater and then when I could afford it but the main cause of my diminishing interest (football in general not dcfc) is the level of greed that started when sky got involved. Until that point, quality managers could get most teams into the first division and potentially win the league.

Good luck tomorrow and I'll be in town watching the match with my son over a beer and pizza!

What do u expect, I've been a Derby fan for over 4 decades and seen everything. Bring back the 70's and 80's when football was good, exciting and if u had a good manager u had a chance. Now it's just the wealthy that succeed.

U also have to have a decent salary if u want to take a family or in my opinion, very mixed up priorities.

to be fair, it's not like we didn't spend a bob or two when old man sam was at the helm. we were breaking transfer records in the 2nd tier.

So with Derby being the highest scorers in the league and getting the highest points tally is not good and exciting enough for you??

Irrespective of the way football is being currently run, this is a one off game at wembley, surely the opportunity to watch your team play in this showcase must be worth something?

I did want to go but the website messed me about and we were gutted. We got over the disappointment and were both resigned to having to watch it in a pub/club (I can't afford sky!) and neither of us could had the inclination to go through disappointment again. I was at work and son was at college so couldn't just go and queue for tickets like some that obviously skived off work. When offered tickets I text my son cos I'd gladly treat him but he was there with me trying to book tickets the first time around, had now committed to doing a shift at work which he does to raise money to help with uni.

People saying Derby broke transfer records in the past as an argument against me are actually supporting my argument that money has ruined the game as anyone with a reasonable fan base/owner could break record fees and compete.

We have to be careful in England or we will end up with even less teams able to win anything and it'll become boring like Scotland!

    And to answer someone's query I a

In an odd way I am right with you. I went to get my season ticket after having one 29 out of 31 seasons and got messed about by the club. After going in to renew and hit several deadends and told some unsettling stuff I quickly got over it and vowed to not go home again until things changed.

It's quite odd after so many years thought I would crumble as did so many others when things started well this season and continued. I haven't and really enjoyed picking my away games. Love having me weekends clear and go when I choose. Won't be getting a season ticket or going home regards less of what happens today but looking forward to some away days.

Having said that I'm bloody going today. COYR
