I liked him when he played for us and would be happy to have him back at the club in some capacity but I was really expecting someone with a coaching badge, does not sound great when he says "it will be good to get involved in the coaching side as it's something I've no experience of"

Very intelligent as a footballer and got an excellent football brain .

On the flipside no coaching experience certainly at this level.

Verdict. Intelligence overrules experience IMO. Let's see. If of course he gets the job.

Just to add I like the fella.

Super Teddy Sheringham is returning to the club! He will become our new attacking coach. Very pleased with this appointment, as he ticks all the boxes and has all the coaching badges. Not to mention his love of our club and fans. Welcome back Teddy! Just hope the club push him up from Part Time to Full Time over time if he is a success.

I`m with Baz, Teddy retired in 2006 and this is I believe is his first appointment, sorry but we cant be a learning curve for someone who`s probably done his dough playing cards.

    Hope I`m wrong.

Yup, strikes me - if true - a terrible waste of a coaching role.

Seems you either appoint someone who has demonstrated prior ability or you waste everyones time.

Might as well, let young Jack give advice after school. A typical piece of f.ucking unjoined-up thinking.
