    England V Italy

So the world cup is literally round the corner, I'm really looking forward to it personally.

What's everyone doing for Saints, err, I mean England V Italy then? Yeah it's an 11pm kick off but at least it's a Saturday. Surely that'll mean an early start for Bangers and Ozzy et al but for us I think it's great timing.

A group of us are off to a pub in town for the afternoon to watch Colombia V Greece, then to my pals local for Uruguay V Costa Rica, then back to his to set up the poker table in time for the start of ours.

Cards, beer & football. Bring it on.

I shall be dodging plastic bullets and dancing samba with my gas-mask on, throwing shapes in the tear-gas clouds!

Actually, as we provide services in quite a few of the hotels being used by the teams, I will probably be on stand by in case a WAG can't access her Twitter account.

No idea where the England team are staying in Manaus - good luck to them! The city is on high alert for flood warnings right now, and all cities have brought in the army to stop any sort of protests/riots, so perhaps those plastic bullets will be swapped for live rounds.

The hotel they are staying in Rio is a dump - there was a gun battle in the grounds of the hotel not that long ago, and last week the Food Hygiene lot removed a whole load of rotten food, so hope the England Chef is bringing his own pot noodles and marmite for the boys.

    11PM KO Saturday?

I'll be trying to stay just about sober enough to see it in whatever bar I am in in.
