    FAO Mook

    Here I took the plunge and bought this for i450 I,ve no idea if I've been fleeced or no the guy said the cymbals were worth i120 each alone.Thanks for yer earlier advice.

    450 quid is decent for any full kit & a set of cymbals.

    Is it a Pearl kit (can't quite make out the badges) & what make are the cymbals?

    The drums are mapex and the cymbals are pro sonic sabian he threw in a few extras stool cowbell sticks and a set of silencersor mufflers whatever they're called

    Mapex kits are good, you've done pretty well there. My old ride cymbal cost nearly that amount just to put it in perspective.

    Did you get him to watch the 'Animal vs Buddy Rich' video on Youtube yet? Must have inspired thousands of kids to pick up drumsticks that one...

    Good tip is you can get drumsticks called 'hot rods' which are much lighter & quieter.

    You can get them on Amazon or in most music shops.

    Not really, if you get him size 5B he'll be fine with those, really big heavy ones can be quite bad for your hands if you have bad technique.

    I'm not sure about the sizes for hot rods tbh.
