    Pat Nevin and Rob MacLean

Getting a bit carried away with Scotland's recent performances the other night.

I don't think we'll qualify for Euro 16. We have a dodgy defence and not much quality ahead of that.

You may be right about not qualifying but there can be no doubt watching Scotland Under Strachan is night and day to the utter sh1te that was passed off as playing football before he took over. Previous managers seemed to spend their entire time worrying about the opposition and talking utter bollox to make football sound as if you needed a degree to understand it.

Strachan concerns himself with his own players and realises football isn't really that difficult a concept.

With previous managers you knew Scotland wouldn't have a single shot on goal and if they lost one you knew they were beaten. That isn't the case these last 5 or six games. I don't mind getting beaten and you've at least had a go. But to play football based on hoping not to lo

I still think craig levein could have avoided the cameras for at least a day as gary locke picked up his personal effects, it seemed a bit in bad taste , him neilson and budge parading about right after the dirty was done on Gary.

but some hearts fan will call me a ryde

If we can't qualify for a tournament of 24 teams we may as well chuck it.

This will be Scotland's easiest chance for years hopefully they don't bottle it.

scotland drawing with nigeria is a decent result. ok its only a friendly but even good results in these games helps you to jump the fifa ranking.

scotland are in a tough euro group and i feel they wont qualify but i still think it will be a great experience that will stand them in good stead for the future.

i feel scotland have been hard done by in recent tournaments regaridng the draws, we deserve an easier draw in future, and will get our turn. theres no reason with a 24 team euro that we shouldnt be regular qualifiers in future. the world cup will be a bit more difficult with fewer teams.
