Oh! Dear, season ticket deadline extended

It would seem season ticket sales are not going as well as the club would like. Is this the Fat Sam factor kicking in?

    From the Standard.

Despite many fans saying they would not renew if Sam Allardyce stayed as manager the sales have gone through the roof

The general consensus at West Ham was if Sam Allardyce remained in charge at Upton Park then the number renewing their season tickets would plummet for next season.

However, it seems that prediction may well have been wide of the mark with the news that Monday saw a record amount of season tickets renewed for the Hammers? third campaign back in the Premier League.

So are the fans content with the owners? insistence on more attacking football?

Are they enthused by the signings of striker Mauro Zarate and attacking coach Teddy Sheringham?

Or are they simply passionate West Ham fans who want to see their team play at the highest level in their penultimate season at the Boleyn Ground?

That would seem the likeliest scenario and with season ticket prices frozen by the club this season, they have extended the renewal date until Friday, after which the

It's nothing to do with moving, it's all down to the HESKEY factor has got everyone excited.

Not knocking anyone but very pleased the idiot I used to be when attending UP are still being born and breed, attended every game home and away for five straight years and then made most of them at home and a scattering away for years, watching good and bad and having great managers and some very bad.

For the supporters that will not renew my heart really does bleed for you as that must be one hell of a feeling, I remember it well but done for cost and family commitments let alone work and to be honest CCTV just Can't afford to get nicked and when younger was always think later, most will understand

I think a lot of people don't renew, for varying reasons including family, work, money and just can't be bothered anymore . Who cares - we all do want we want to within our means. I wouldn't knock anyone for it.

    But, yo

We were all told leading up to the deadline there was unprecedented demand and to get in before the deadline or risk losing your seat,I've just forked out over 1100 quid for 3 season tickets.
In the family enclosure where we sat for the last 5 years every season ticket holder in at least 4 or 5 seats in every direction apart from 1 bloke in front of us has given up their seat.
Different people every week in them seats tells me the club has a major problem attracting season ticket holders and I will wager the drop in season ticket holders has increased rapidly since the fat man became our manager.

But then again do the two daves give a monkeys when weekly paying punters stump up their hard earned cash buying match tickets,of course they don't,all they want is bums on seats and they get em to the tune of 30,000 every week.

Makes you wonder how some clubs have big waiting lists for season tickets yet we can't sell em all and yet we fill the ground up nearly every game!!!!!

    Very strang

    Stevo

Could it be that the weekly out lay is easier to find and justify than the lump sum up front?? Just a thought not saying I'm correct or anything but just a thought

Stratford will be a factor whatever your point of view.

SA writes for the Standard anyway so close ties and what better selling pitch to say they are going like hotcakes/don't miss out (nice work Brady possibly?)

    Who really knows.

I ain't going until he's gone but might just renew my membership with Stratford in mind as I guess members may get dibs on ST's before general sale? Assuming the (unt is gone by then of course (can but pray)

Top post that Harry, spot on really (Can't believe I just said that)

    you (unt

seriously, i fear i will become like hammeredhome and not miss it as much as i think i will and just drift away now mate

i had limited games last season and honestly, i was in the black lion several times on 65 minutes and i wasn't drinking along, far from it

it was just that fu(king bad the majority of the time

a few at work can't believe i just won't go - berties been crying like a bitch today when i told him to poke membership renewal

it's a game of football ffs nobody has died, i can't get as passionate as yesteryear regardless of anything it's just gone totally south for me, at the wrong time, stratford - was always pro-stratford and i think as a club, we need the move

    then hopefully a buy-out

finally lost patience with the board tbh - a slick operation that will ultimately launch brady's political career and make G+S a lot of money (however it plays out) but they have not 25% the ambition of the supporters unfortunately
