    World Cup - Vanishing Spray

Going to be used in the World Cup. I've seen this used in South America where the referee marks where the ball is to be placed and the line which the defending players must stand behind.

I think its a cracking idea. It seems to work very well and stop all the silly messing about at free kicks. They spray the pitch and in five minutes its gone!

Has anyone else seen it or have an opinion on it?

I saw them use it in a couple of U17 tournaments recently and it seemed to work very well, although it's like a lot of these rules where players will still try to cheat and the refs need to be strong enough to punish consistently

It is effective. I thought it was powder at first.

Is the rule still in place where if they dont go back the free kick gets moved another 10 yeards? I've not seen that enforced in ages.

Been used for quite a while in various South American comps, has it not?

    Really good idea.

I'd go one further and spray players when they get booked

I think Florest fans have been spraying themselves in it last season, cos every time they were on telly, all you could see were pink seats!!!

If I were a player I would like to know whether the ingredients of this spray are toxic or not.I would hate to hacked to the ground which had just been recently sprayed. It could also be embarrassing for the Ref if it suddenly runs out or malfunctions.

Does it work on rodents, and , if so, I hope it lasts more than 5 minutes...
