    Did Denmark not leave the common market? Dont remember hearing tales of doom and gloom about that Balkanisation of Scandinavia.

    It seems what he is really worried about is the UK leaving the EU something the UK government is promising an in out referendum on.

    I don't think they did leave the EU (could be wrong mind). I think they left/wouldn't join the Euro Zone.

    It prompted the quip after they were parachuted into the European Championships to replace war torn Yugoslavia
