    The Summer So Far

Right, 2 full weeks left until the longest day of the year and I know I was so glad to come out of winter and see the clocks go forward in April ...but...Spring or Summer has never fully kicked in!!!:/

There was still a chilly wind about up until last week, although it's a lot milder now and a bit humid it's been cloudy, overcast, ****ing with rain...etc.

Looking out the window, it's still quite bright outside..but it doesn't feel like the summer has started in anyway.

maybe some great weather will arrive to coincide with the start of the world cup and it'll be summer at last!!

June has been a washout, so far.

Heat usually picks up in July/August. We had a fairly mild Winter - usually the Summer is pish after one of those.

I always remember heat waves in May...maybe a week in June and maybe July then summer finishing start of August.

I struggle to cut my grass enough because it rains so often.

It could do with a cut now but it's rained every day this week.

last winter was well above average temperatures.

as was march, april, may and june so far has been above average.

so i cant see what the complaints are.

a chilly wind end of may isnt unusual and nights have been a lot warmer than they could be this time of year, its possible to get a ground frost at the start of june during the night.

the forecast is a lot of rain over the next week but above average temps continuing.

i always feel june is a bit of a wash out anyway, always seems to be wet this time of year.
