    cufc 6000

Dont know much about this campaign but they are trying to get an attendance of 6000 for our first home game. I know how we could get 10000. Simply make the admission price a quid similar to what celtic Nation have been doing. We may lose a bit on the gate receipts but a lot of folk who dont normally go might enjoy the eexperience of a live game and decide to come back again on a regular basis and even attract brand new local football fans

    Roughly twenty quid Chalky.

Entertainment value is nill, they can go **** themselves, I shall cheer/sneer from the armchair till they make a change.

Not knocking them folk who are happy clappers that don't mind being ripped off though, it is a choice.

This initiative is doomed to failure because it ignores all the issues that have caused people to stop attending Brunton Park.

I'm not knocking the campaign itself, but it doesn't really attempt to solve anything.

Do you honestly think if you open a Twitter and Facebook account get a few mentions in the paper and on the official site etc, this is going to convince anyone to attend the first game of the season who wasn't go to be there anyway? It's all incredibly naive.

The offical club page has 40,000 followers, surely the club would be better placed to try and get a quarter of those followers to attend our first homne game in August. Prinicaplly they could do this by posting, exciting engaging news about the forthcoming season - and some decent looking signings to raise morale - currently, what exactly have supporters got to look forward to apart from another season of struggle?

Is a picture of random children at Brunton Park or some other happy clappers "showing their support" go

As above, if the 'custodians' officially put the club up for sale, it may inject some much needed hope! Fools like me go week in week out. Some fans need a boost to return and this would be a clear signal of possible change. The custodians do not have the financial resources to put in the required investment to infra-structure. I don't believe they have any sinister agenda but don't think that they have what it takes to move us forward. Clearly next season is going to be a struggle anyone who believes it is going to be an immediate bounce back is fooling themselves or delusional.

How many of these 6000 are dead or infirm?

Is there an ectoplasmic detector at the gate to count the ghosts attending the matches?

How many even have the paid match comm?

Betcha a lot less than 40,000.

Betcha there are not 20,000 different CUFC fans that go to one home match a year.

Pay for match radio has more than done its part in killing support for the club IMO

I might have even managed a trip back over water for a set of matches if the radio comm was still available for free.

I love that post by Piglet, as it sums up my thoughts precisely. Unfortunately I am one of the idiots who keeps turning up to watch the turgid ****e that is inflicted on us every week. In years gone by there was always the hope that it would get better, however these last few seasons there hasn't even been hope, just the knowledge that this crap is going to carry on for the forseeable future.

I had hoped our disgraceful relegation might have given some of the clowns a pause for thought. However it certainly looks as if there will be no changes except for the worse.

As for the happy clappers, those idiots who were lining up to have a go at me on facebook for saying losing by 4 goals to Notts County was a disgrace, they need to have a really good look at themselves. Your fawning and arse licking are part of the reason why we are where we are, and I can't see anything to convince me that anything will change in the coming season.

    We will be very lucky
