He's off to FC Erzgebirge Aue in the League 2 in Germany for an undisclosed fee.
From the Goldenstar management site...
"Golden Star Management are pleased to announce that Estonian national team striker Henri Anier has today completed a transfer from Scottish Premier League side Motherwell FC to German 2.Bundesliga club FC Erzgebirge Aue for an undisclosed fee. Anier signed a three year contract with FC Erzgebirge Aue.
23-year-old Anier joined Motherwell permanently from Norwegian club Viking Stavanger in January 2014 after a successful six-month loan spell at Fir Park. During his time at Motherwell he scored 9 goals and assisted 6. Anier has been capped 15 times by Estonia and he has scored five goals for his country.
We would like to thank Motherwell FC for their cooperation and wish Henri all the best in Germany!"

I understand we will need the cash but slightly dissapointed to be losing the big man, probally did'nt even get much for him.
Right are we gonna get 1 of Henri's pals in now to replace him and sell after a year then?
That's a bit of a surprise as we seemed to be trying to retain almost all of last season's squad. Just shows you that we need the money (However much it was).
We definitely need a good, pacey striker in as Faddy has gone, Craig Moore will not be back before Xmas (I think) and I just do not think Bob McHugh is good enough (although I would be happy if he proved me wrong, although he has had plenty of chances to do so).
I would say that Henri Anier was a patchy contributor to our cause last season. On his day he had an eye for goal and was full of running. However he wasn't an ever present.
Maybe the club bought him with an eye to selling him on? Anyhow he isn't irreplaceable. If we got a bit of cash for him then great.
According to Scott Burns on Twitter, we received a substantial 6 figure sum for Henri Anier - slightly less than we received for Ojamaa.
Given that I'd say the fee was around 250 grand. Not a bad bit of business.
oh fpuck please dont tell me we have ended mchughs loan spell.. if we have we should just let him clean the bootsOriginally Posted by Gowboy

The club can't win. Quite a few fans are saying that the fee is undisclosed because it was so modest. Quite a few others are saying its undisclosed because the Board doesn't want the fans to know how large it actually was.Originally Posted by steviex
All this goes to show is the extremely high level of mistrust and negativity amongst some sections of our support. God only knows what they'd say if they followed a club like Kilmarnock, Sevco or Hibs.
