Is Scotland a country?
Here is the dictionary definition:
A nation with its own government, occupying a particular territory.
We are not that.
In September, we have a chance to vote to be that.
If the citizens of that area of the United Kingdom wish to become that, then Scotland will become a country.
Until then, they are a region of the United Kingdom and should receive no more privileges than regions of other countries receive.
I have never understood why Scotland is allowed a national football team but Texas isn't. I'm sure some 'Better Together' voters can explain this.
And while they're at it, can they give me an up to date list of all the countries that have left Great Britain's sovereign ship and have requested a return. I am particularly interested to hear how the USA's request to re-join is coming along, considering their leader's recent comments recommending us to stay part of colonial rule.

well said mate , i widnae trust them to run a card school
and before anyone tell us a vote yes is not for the snp, that'll be why they're already talking about drafting a scottish constitution eh? presumptuous awful people
Of course it's for the SNP, only a blinkered clueless fool would think otherwirse. The fact is that, should there be a Yes vote, the White Paper (the SNP Governments plan) says that Scotland will become fully Independant In Mar 2016. Before the next Scottish Parliamentary elections. Meaning the SNP government will get to make all the decisions.Originally Posted by gersforme
Meaning a Yes vote, is a vote for the SNP.
