    odd choice of words. 'refuses' suggests he's been asked to step down but won't.

    he's the best-qualified english man for the job.

    hodgson was never going to achieve anything and we all said it at the beginning. he just didnt have the players. with a little luck next time round some of the youngsters will be ready to step up.
