It's not so much 'anticipation' as 'boredom'. I hate this time of year (football wise) and I get fed up very quickly reading and hearing about this player that might sign, this player that might leave, someone else who we might be interested in, etc, etc.

I'd just like to fast forward to the opening match and see what squad we've got.

I'm not sure the world cup will delay our signing a player, although there is the odd player in the Costa Rica team that would be nice!!

The transfer window tends to be a farce with teams suddenly panicing in August - and players and agents hold out to see what deals are on offer for a while - I'm confident that with our professional player recruitment set up, the targets are known and over the next few weeks they will be signed with the odd loan or two later on to provide cover.
