    New Hibernian Coach

Alan Stubbs has beend the new head coach of Scottish Championship side Hibernian.

The former Celtic defender has left his role as a youth coach at Everton to take the job.

He replaces Terry Butcher, who was sacked following Hibs' relegation from the Premiership last season.

Stubbs spent five years at Celtic Park, during which he won two league titles and two League Cups.

The new manager will be hoping to lead the Easter Road side back to the top flight at the first attempt, with Edinburgh rivals Hearts and Rangers also in the second tier next term.

Good luck to Stubbs and I think he is going to need it as Hibernian were shambolic last season.

Will this board now see the return of Hibees, Dullard and the rest of the missing posters??

I doubt Dullard or Hibees will be jumping about in the street with that news.

    Seems a very weird appointment.

he was a youth coach, hibs are skint and need to develop youth, but what a helluva gamble on a novice with no experience in scottish fitba management, this could keep hibs down for a few years, happy days

Good on Hibs for not employing the scottish gravy train that continues to see absolute fuudds lik. Tommy Craig, Sandy Clark , Jim Duffy etc etc pick up wage packets from the game. One of the biggest problems in our game is that it seems almost impossible to remove the same tried and tested fuudds who spend their entire careers on the merry go round of Scottish Clubs.

Hibs have appointed decent Managers in the past and failed Don't think Stubbs will do any better with what he has at his disposal

Hearts will own Hibs next season as per

Look what happened last time they went for someone with lots of experience in Scottish fitba management.

On field Hibs have been a basket case for years.
