George Thorne - final bid, or is it?

Derby are set to make a final offer of A£2.5 million to West Brom for young midfielder George Thorne. The Rams have already had bids of A£900,000 and A£1.5 million rising to A£2 million rejected for the 21-year old, who impressed greatly on a six month loan at the iPro Stadium last season.

Thorne has also had two written transfer requests blocked by the Baggies.

In which case you won't get him if posts on West Brom Mad are true. The club has accepted a bid from Forest for 3 million. Apparently the player is well known to Stuart Pearce from his Endland U21 days. It's still two days until Psycho becomes manager of Forest but he could be already putting the boot into Derby.

If you want to take issue then do so on the topic on the West Brom board.I have added nothing or taken anything away. I think it very much that it could be true. How does that go down with you ?

I've just done a bit of research of my own instead of relying on our West Brom friends. He has played for England U 16 and U 17s, so he must have come to the notice of Psycho. This gets juicier by the minute.
