I trust you can easily guess my thoughts on this Dan !
I was however made to feel quite queasy upon reading the official statement of 'thanking him for his work and dedication'![]()

DJ who ???![]()
To balance this up a little ...today we signed Luke Varney.
Before you kick off Dan, he is a squad player and will barley play above Rhodes - Gestede and the new lad from Donny. And he is on low wages, and we paid nowt.
GB on the quiet has now done a brilliant job since taking over, shedding all the expensive, waste of spaces like DE etc ...GB has basically done all this on his own, and worked on a budget.
Managing a football club isnt just about standing on the sidelines on matchday, its everything. This side of what he has brought to our club ...basically stabilising us inside of 12 months...has been completely overlooked imo.
At least we go into a season in some form of a positive manner. Shedding the crap overpaid players and replacing them with decent players, who cost hardly anything is nothing short of brilliant. Again, all in 12 months.
I just hope he gets support from fans next season, like the club are backing, and trusting in him.
Totally know where you're coming from Champs, but I believe there are far many more of us appreciating GB's efforts than you give credit for.
Having said that, these 'activities' have only been possible by someone 'opening their wallet'! And yes before anyone jumps down my throat the 'wallet' does indeed belong to our seemingly enlightened owners. And so they should, it being their incompetence in the first place.
With regard to any 'penalties' on the horizon, it may well be their hand was forced, we can only surmise just what this action plan was structured by.
To my mind at least; by demonstrating that they are bending over backwards to get their/our house in order could well be sufficient to keep the hounds at bay.
With regard to the 3 players in question (DE, DJC, Lthey have been a blatant insult to every supporter turning up at Ewood, and their brass necked indifference towards the same is shameful and we are/will be well rid.

Rant over.
I've backed Bowyer all the way, but have obviously pointed to failings when they have occurred, no one is perfect or bullet proof.
As for Varney, I'll say it again. He is a pretty poor football player, but is a total pain in the arse for opposition defences. Well worth chucking on when we're winning to protect a striker and keep the ball in the opposition half. As long as he's not judged on his passing or shooting, he's fine for a certain job. He's just not much of a footballer.
Great news regarding the exit ofDickson and DJ..about bloody time...
As for the praise being lavished on GB ..yes hes done a decent job in the last six months but thats been helped by our "owners" leaving the football club to be run by those who know best
And lets face it ...GB hasnt been sat in an office with a calculator working out release packages for the players shown the door ..so to praise him in getting shut of Dickson and DJ is a little wayward..lots of people behind the scenes will have sorted that out to an agreement that suits all to finely rid the club of these players..as Despair says ..someones putting their hands in their pockets to move these players on .and it wont have been cheap!
The clubs been stable now for quite awhile..GB has been allowed to bring in his players ..all he has to concentrate on now like he has since christmas is getting it right on the pitch..all outside distractions have all but disappeared for now (january may be different)..time to be judg
alongside bowyer, i think derek shaw deserves credit for ridding the club of(some of) the deadwood..
bradley orr still `honouring` his contract though..
Cheerio Etu-tu and DJ, my hanky is certainly out. But it ain't to mop up tears, it's to mop up boy glue, as this news warrants a celebratory shufty.
