You'd need a fair size lounge to get the benefit off of that Jimmy.

My advice would be to get a Panasonic even if your budget only allows you to buy an smaller one. Much better quality if you ask me.

We've only got a 36" (panasonic). Don't really like massive tvs unless there in the pub.

I'm just debating this at the very moment. I've just bought a house with a 400ft sq lounge (at auction for the price of a half decent caravan before you think I'm a millionaire) so the room will take a big telly. However, once you gan over 50in. the prices are a just total rip-off of. I'd rather have a 50in. for sensible money and pull the sofa a foot nearer.

Hate those idiots who mount them over the fireplace so you have to look up at them the whole time, the TV needs to be at eye level or it's torture to sit and watch. - view external link

That one I linked already has. I've done my research, I've noted 3D and Plasma are about to bite the dust.

We haven't a tv in the living room as I'm not allowed.. That's for guests to come and enjoy each other's company..

My tv is an 47in lg 3d and it's been demoted to the conservatory as we haven't blinds up its a nightmare when the suns shinning directly into the place..

But I do like the 3d watched avatar on it the effects were superb..

But as I like football and Mixed Martial Arts it would be so much better with a much bigger one.. But won't be paying all that money 2-3,000..

Will even wait a we bit till the prices come down.. Been stung before buying stuff too soon.

I see that it's an HD TV and that it has freeview but that doesn't necessarily mean that it has an HD freeview receiver, might be worth checking.

My son does the sport and he's passionate about it.. We were going to go over to Dublin to watch the MMA but he's been called to work in America for up to 6 weeks so he's missing it.. Not sure if he's sold the tickets as yet..
