WC I know I'm going to regret this but...

Entering everybody's predictions into my records I have come across a dilemma.
    1. - If you predict a 1-0 score and naturally give same time for first goal and winning goal should that count as six points?
    My gut feeling is yes.

    2. - If you predict a 2-0 win and enter a time for first goal and no time for winning goal how many points are scored?
My gut feeling is 3 points. Although it can be argued that the first goal is the winning goal the second goal cannot be ignored.

I invite contestants ONLY to post their view on the above before I make a final decision.

    Re above

    1. That makes sense.

    2. If you predict 2-0 why would you not post a winning time goal. IMHO it should be 3 points if u get the first goal time correct and an additional 3 points if you get the second goal correct as i would suggest the last goal counts as the winning goal.If you dont post a winning time goal u get nothing.

    I await to be corrected.

It's become apparent that what we are currently seeing both here and on SM are the two extremes of competition organisation.

On SM, Harvey has basically ****ed off and we wait to see whether he can be bothered to update us with results when the World Cup is over. It seems unlikely.

Over here we have the paralysis by analysis approach. Does anyone actually know how many points they should have scored? I have my doubts as to whether the organiser does. But like lambs to the slaughter we continue to put our entries in (except Dave the Visionary who saw the light and got out when the going was good - *******!!)

So back to Bladder's original question here. The truth is, we don't know and I fear we're beyond caring too (this may change if I suddenly find myself winning).

    I was thinking this myself..

    so

if a team wins 3 - 1 and is at one point 2 - 0 up is that 2nd goal the winning goal?

I could go on ... but can't be

I think that would depend on whether the other team scored their only goal before the winning side got their 3rd!!

Do whatever you think fit Monsieur Michel Bladdini. The complexity of the organisation is now beyond my feeble ken.

Note: I am doing my best to keep in with you for obvious reasons and can assure you of my vote for four more years at the top of world fiddleball administration.

He's finally discovered *** is better than football. I am happy for the lad. I did the same during the 1970 World Cup.

    I've made up my mind.
In the rules for winning goal read last goal scored in normal or extra time.
This does away with all argument and works for drawn games as well.

Not complex at all. You all have copies of your predictions and can easily keep your own score and check it against my regular updates.
As mentioned the simple minded should have gone and entered Harvey's Comp.
I bet you all keep up with your Fantasy Football and that is bloody complicated.

Don't forget some, like Tall Midget, didn't enter because it wasn't complicated enough.
