I've just seen a brief article in the Sun, the paper reckons Eddie Davies has had to plough more money into the club, to keep us afloat. Worrying times! - view external link
We are over 150 million pounds in debt.
We have not got a pot to piss in.
There is no way that the board will give Dougie money to buy in anyone of any stature. We may get a little gesture from them when the insults start flying , but only a little gimme.
They have to look as though they are trying to repay some of the debt, act as though they are responsible business people, which we all know they are not.
To people like me who do not want us anywhere near the Premier League, I got fed up of being leathered every week, and am quite happy to go along to the Breezeblock every week and slag everyone off, and go to affordable away matches for a laugh with great fans, I am not really ****ing arsed. I'll just renew my ticket every year and look forward to Saturdays. I know they are ****e, its always going to be the same from now on.
But everyone realise, its bargain basement time, free has beens and never have beens.

I want us back in the premiership at a level were we don't get leathered every week!
How are we gong to do that mate Campo ?.
We would all love to be playing on a level playing field in the Premier League, but the debt we are in prevents the likelihood of this happening anytime this century happening.
The only way I can see a faint possibility of future success many years ahead, is that if we eventually go into administration, which we will eventually. If that happens and we restart under a daft like BWFC 2020, and have a bit of luck in the ownership stakes like other clubs, that's our only way out.
Just lets carry on as normal mate, go on Saturday and enjoy the day out, hurl abuse at one another on here and enjoy the craic.
We can all join in TTS's military coup of the club. Come on Tony, get em going bud .
Until we get back into the premiership and start to pay Davies back that made up debt we are stuffed eric or administration then sell it either way we need a new owner! - view external link
There isn't a snowball in hell's chance of Eddie Davis getting all his money back. He may get some back or more interest if we manage to get to the Prem again otherwise no chance.
What I'm most concerned with seeing - and it's been a long time coming - is the club start getting value for money. Painful though it is to say, we need to take a look at Wigan's business model over the last decade.
They've brought in an endless list of top players at bargain prices that they sold on for profit. That's what a club like ours needs to be doing. The money we've spent on utter sh1te since Allardyce left is infuriating.
It's not as simple as tying the purse strings. We could have had an empty payroll last season and we'd have still made a loss which tells you there's more to it than what we're spending on players.
Let's say we spend 3m on transfers this summer. Considering the debt's now 160m and could be round the 200m mark by Christmas, another 3m doesn't make a material difference.
