    Tractor Boys v Hammers

    from OS--

West Ham United contest their second pre-season fixture with a trip to Portman Road to take on Championship side Ipswich Town.

The Hammers opened their preparations for 2014/15 with a 2-2 draw with Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium on Saturday, where late goals from Matt Jarvis and Stewart Downing saw them recover from two goals down to share the spoils.

Manager Sam Allardyce will take a strong squad to Suffolk, with new boy Mauro Zarate and fellow forwards Andy Carroll and Carlton Cole hoping to make their first appearances after missing Saturday's game.

Ipswich also kicked-off their own pre-season fixture list on Saturday, when they ran out 4-0 winners at League of Ireland First Division side Shelbourne in Dublin.

Ipswich Town was founded in 1878 but did not turn professional until 1936, joining the Football League two years later.

Another awesome contribution from AC again, FFS! Something humpty about this so called 'knock' he's allegedly carrying.
Wonder if his bags are packed for NZ or Newcastle ?

Re the match tonight, positives for me were Poyet and the Senegalese Pele, both looked good.

    Negatives... Too many to mention

Nice to see our attacking football bagging us lots of goals against an average championship team.
Also nice to see our new signings having a great affect.

Keep it up Sam. Remember keep us up and its a job well done isn't it?

I don't claim to be 'itk' or anything but there is a growing rumour that 'Wor Andy' may be heading home.

From our point of view, or more importantly the owners, they are rightly or wrongly paranoid about FFP, fact. Whereas other clubs seem to ride roughshod over it, Sullivan regards it as his bible.

I assume that these new players we've bought are on decent w
