    re: signings

I would like to see a stronger squad than the one we ended last season with ...

The loans of wisdom and bamford and a better striker to back up Martin are still required..

Development squad has had additions...but not sure (I have never seen them play)that they are all ready to play in what will hopefully be a promotion pushing team.

Loans or permanents is the question...but still the first team squad needs 3 more additions in my view ...right back, wide quick forward and striker.

    re: signings

I think there's two key factors here:

    1. We need to operate within financial fair play. Signing Bryson to a long contract and Bringing in Thorne will have spent our play-off final money. All credit to Derby/QPR for coming to that deal (whoever loses takes the pot), as it is likely the only reason we can afford Thorne AND all the contract extensions.

    2. It's hard to find players better than what we've got for not too much money. It's only my opinion, but I reckon our first XI next season, particularly from an attacking sense, will be better than most come the start of the season.

If a forward becomes available for a million or under, and Derby think he fits the bill, I think we'll pounce. If not, I expect to see us utilize the loan market once again, which i'm absolutely fine with us doing.

Well we ahvea right back, thats Christie, he has been signed for the first team. We should not discount him just because of where he came from - Brayford came from Crewe and turned out Ok.

The only other significant signing will be a forward, IF one of better quality than what we have can be found for value.

There will be 3 or 4 loans, but likely to be later, don't discount the younger signings either they will have a part to play and are of the sam

In that case, do we think that christie is an improvement over wisdom?...I haven't seen christie, but I do know that wisdom was good and will be a miss...

I think we'll look to bring in 2 quality loans again when the transfer window shuts.
