    englands international future

now that the dust has settled from the WC what do you think of Englands chances to do better in international competition in the future?

personally i think the slow decline in ability will continue. there are two many foreign players in england stifling growth of native talent. the culture has changed and with it englands chances of being able to compete

i see it becoming difficult for england to even qualify for the final stages of the euros and WC in the future. if they do get there getting further than the first round will be just a pipe dream

you're right, the future's bleak. think we'll continue to qualify but won't accomplish owt once there.

don't buy the foreigner thing. not many foreigners in scottish football but that hasn't meant the natives have flourished. far from it.

ravel morrison and barclay are the type of players england can look forward to in the future. purblind, selfish, and no real idea how the game's played at the top level.

comparing a young german to a young english man is unfair and frankly embarrassing.

it shows itself on the football field.

I see Steven Gerrard is stepping down fron international football. He's been one of my favourite players the past decade but at 34 he's starting to show his age.

Yeah you keep tellin yourselves that

Pretty certain where your flag is posted

Dont post about England if ya cant take it back about your lot

The major difference is we still try to win...not play desperately just to keep the opposition at bay

there's still a gap between eng and scot (as the fifa rankings show).

but there's a gulf between eng and the top teams.

in that way eng/scot are v similar.
