Oh I wouldn't put him in Hughes class. He isn't worth 176 Million by a long shot. Those inquiry letters must have clogged up MaClarens letter box by now. The Royal Mail must be pulling their hair out.

Here we go again, efin wonderkid give it 5 more years and we will see. best left alone to get on with it, as soon as they are called wonderkids by the press they fade out to just a descent player or even not at all. I can only think of one young kid that was a good player at 16 then a great player at 20 and that was george best. Calling players wonder kids is a silly press thing. wonder goal, wonder pass, efin silly words and no WONDER it costs a fortune to see these players, because of there wonder wages. Is not up and coming talent not good enough.I am not having a go at you tricky but the press is screwing up the football league with there overblown talk

I agree, but I think we can also add Messi, Ronaldo and our own Shrek + M. Owen as wonderkids who delivered.

    That's ok Zig.
My feelings for the lad would be, stay where you are until you're at least 18.

Let's look closely though. He's playing against men nearly double his age. Making them look stupid as well. How many 15 year olds have you seen like that?

If someone mentions Hughes you're having a smack in the gob, He's a wonder kid still not being noticed.

To be fair, he's a decent player and still can become very good.

Saw the vid. Yes he does look awesome doesn't he?
However we all know how misleading a video compilation can be. We really need to see him play in games, how he positions himself, his awareness of players next to him and whether he's a real team player. Lads can be too 'drama' at these early ages, which will only infuriate the older players/opponents.
Still with the Norwegian press and the interest of the big clubs, there's bound to be some truth about his abilities.

The other factors to consider though are:

    1) Norway isn't such a great league. He might look like Pele in that league but lost at sea in the tougher ones.

    2) Burnout. A very common problem if not managed properly. The wealth and fame can him make lose focus or assume he's already made it. He needs to be used sparingly and be brought down to earth by a manager prepared to 'daddy' him.
