    Fair Play To Sky

If they are going to carry on showing games from the Development Squad League this season.

I didn't hear it advertised so maybe it's only on because there's no champ games but the one on this evening, Chelsea v Man City, is a decent game.

The only other times I've known Dev Squad games to be on is on the clubs' own channels.

Think they are getting desperate..They have lost Champions League from next season to BT and the Spanish La Lega contract is up for grabs from the start of next season. Rumour is BT will get the rights for the Spanish games so what will be on their Sky Sports 5 the home home of European next season? The Dutch premier league ? I can think of Ajax and Feyenoord but no other teams. Wonder if they will reduce the prices of Sky Sports ? I think not !!

    Waste of money.
Pay a year-long contract for the privilege of watching adverts non stop whilst lining the pockets of one of the world most loathsome people.

And when any boxing worth watching is on, you pay on top of that for the privilege.

Utter rip off. Although I must admit that the coverage is excellent and Soccer Saturday is the canine's testicles.

Have to disagree Tone. For people who, like me, enjoy watching football I think it's excellent value. For less than 100 quid a month I get the opportunity of watching top English, Spanish and European football, Sky Atlantic, and numerous films to keep her indoors happy, not to mention the numerous rubbish channels that occasionally show a program worth watching. And the 95 quid or so I pay also includes my broadband connection.

If I wanted to go to a game it would cost me more than my monthly subscription by the time I'd taken travelling costs into account. Even more if I wanted

If like me you can't get to games, then the only way to watch is via a satellite connection.

So I watch Sky and Bt.

Good value as far as I'm concerned.

Just because you don't have to have it, doesn't mean that it's not a carve up. I don't have to pay 200 quid for a plate of truffles at a poncey Knightsbridge restaurant. But it's a rip-off all the same

You watch the prices nose-dive now that there's some real competition. The days of Sky's monopoly are over.
