    Bolton v Middlesbrough

We've had our bit of fun today playing 4-4-2.

I can see this being a thoroughly boring, frustrating Tuesday night out.

Starts for Trotter and Pratley maybe, just in front of Spearing.

    What do you think?

think it will be different kind of game danm definitely boring, the doog master going 4.5.1 or maybe like he did away at derby for last 20mins last season 5.5.0 think we will win it though one nil.not to mitherd if he starts with useless duo of prattly or trotter because it will be a very scrappy non fluent game anyway.

Even though I'm a lifelong supporter and season ticket holder, the way I feel at the moment , I probably won't bother going.

I think it might be a similar team selection and formation against Boro. I think Dougie will play Mason & C Davies up front, but it will probably be midfield where there will be changes. I think Medo should be benched for our version of Yaya Toure aka Liam Trotter.

    Bolton 2 Boro 1

    Bogdan

    McNaughton---Mills---Wheater---Ream

    Feeney---Spearing---Trotter---Danns

    Mason---C Davies

I'm struggling to remember ever seeing an entertaining game against boro. Them and Fulham were always the worst games

Another masterclass in how to motivate and get the best out of players by Freedman.

We've got Liam Feeney, who's only attribute is bombing down the right hand side. So in Dougie's infinite wisdom this player spends most of the match on the left.

Craig Davies was outstanding and easily the best Bolton player on the pitch. Joe Mason hardly touched the ball all match. So have a wild guess which of these two players made way for Beckford. With five minutes left.

I had no problems with him swapping Trotter for Danns. Shame it wasn't half an hour earlier. Or an hour and half.

With about 30 seconds left he brought on Hayden White for McNaughton. Either McNaughton's injured or Dougie's even more pathetic than anticipated.

Well as I said at the time - Trotter should have gone for one - but Feeney and Mason should probably have joined him for Beckford, Danns and Medo - and much earlier!

We are the home team, we had 2 shots on target, one of them was a penalty, Freedman can blame the ref, and he was $hite but I think the feeble performance was more to blame. Freedman sets his team up to play on the break, home or away, and allow the opposition to completely control the game.

Absolute dire tactics,it has seen us win only 7 home games out of the last 26
