I take it you belong to oil is a liability rather than an asset camp despite it being hugely beneficial to the country's economy and the companies that drill.
Me? I'm looking for Salmond to cap all the oil fields and build off shore wind farms and solar arrays over them.

No doubt the same people who are drilling in the west coast of Ireland.
Over 3 months last winter the biggest oil rig for exploration was dragged out to the west coast of Ireland, they wouldn't be going to all that work for no reason.
Don't think for a second that the English government does not know the west coast of Scotland is also very profitable.
we are due a new oil bonanza and not surprisingly the UK government have been caught out playing down the oil revenues again.
Scotland’s oil and gas revenues could be up to six times higher than those forecast by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), according to an independent report which Alex Salmond, the first minister, said “blows another huge hole in the credibility” of the London-based fiscal watchdog.
N-56, an apolitical economic think tank, has published an analysis of Scotland’s future oil and gas revenues which suggests they could be worth £365bn by 2040. The OBR has forecast a more conservative figure of £57bn.
The Bentley Field, which is due to be drilled by Xcite Energy, has up to 777 million barrels of oil reserves, the company has revealed.
The oil field, located to the East of Shetland, is due to begin production next year. The firm said it plans to use enhanced oil recover techniques rig
