    R_R's Ratings

In absence of the usual posters, here's my match report. Overall poor performance - spent most of the time crabbing sideways or backwards trying to be too pretty or clever and lacking any directness or cut and thrust. Constantly gave ball away in close quarters - there always seemed to be a Charlton player on the spot to nick the ball away at crucial moments, that is when we weren't giving it away ourselves.

Player ratings all 2 but I'll give Ward 3 for at least scoring one and being gifted another.

An altogether frustrating evening where everyone caught error-itis. Let's hope it's a one off. Charlton had a solid defence and played on counter, but we should have been able to pick them apart and win if we had been anywhere near on our game.

MOM - Russell: he wasn't on long enough to make as many mistakes as the others.

    Frustrating night all round..
We lack spark and everything seems slow at the moment, predictable as well.
I actually thought Martin did well despite nothing going for him. Hardest I have seen him work on a football pitch.
Thorne is a huge miss at the moment.. Hughes is trying his best there and can do a job but we need him in the final third.
Too many passes going astray at the moment.
    It will come have faith.

On RD it sounded like the final 20-25 of the first half was the best spell of the season??

**** poor time to concede a pen!

That period was maybe when we played our best - but if that's the best of the season then we haven't played well all season..?!

0-20 mins - Charlton killed us.
20-45 mins - Derby killed Charlton.
45-70 mins - Charlton killed us.
70-95 mins - Derby on top again.

I though that period from 20 to 45 mins was pretty damn good to be fair.

There was a lot of killing going on..

Charlton started well but then we was on top for the rest of the game but as said before we just went from side to side...answering another thread that says drop Hendrick or Bryson I cant see that myself as the game is bypassing them due to our obsession with getting ( and using ) wide stuff

No good having wide men if they cant do the job they were sent on to do...I would have kept Hughes on with Omar an took off Dawkins earlier...who was once again flattering to deceive

As for the penalty ????? I think the ref was the only person in the ground who seemed to think that one

May as well go to Macclesfield or Dover etc for the facilities ya get at that place too ...good turn out Rams fans thou

Now come on MMI, that chip shop where you turn right up to the away end isn't bad at all: albeit you need to turn up early to avoid a huge queue. Must be a little gold mine on match days
