We can beat Accies, whether we will or not is a different matter.
Hard to see this being 'the' season though I guess Killie and St Mirren didn't see it coming at this stage either when they won it recently.

Motherwell will struggle to win at hamilton, unless Hamilton put out a weakened side.My heart wants them to win, but my head tells me different. To be honest Idont see where we will get a victory from in the next few matches except possible Ross county.
To be honest Ifear someone is going to give us a right doing shortly the manner we are playing.
I hate to say it but after watching our first few games I dont see where the improvement will come from knowing the players we have in the squad at present.
One shall keep the faith though and continue to follow them as hard as it seems.
Rotten draw for us and I reckon thats us looking at yet another first hurdle exit in a cup match
Everything, from the way we've been playing, to the promising start they've had to the season, to our poor record on plastic pitches, to our woeful cup record under McCall and to the fact that Accies will be desperate to dump us out the cup points to a home win in this one.![]()
Yes nothing we've watched so far to suggest we won't be at the business end of the tournamentOriginally Posted by jwok

Can't see us winning this one. We can't play on plastic for one, injuries are killing us as well.
I will buck the trend and say we definitely can win this and i see it as a good draw. If game was tomorrow would give us little chance but game is a month away and i think by then we will hopefully have improved and they will have come down a bit as teams who come up normally do start well then fade away. The fact that its a derby against team in same league should also spice it up and possibly get us out of our normal lackadazical slumper of normal cup ties when we normally get papped out so i actually think its the perfect draw for us not saying we will definitely win but pleased with it.
The Official Accies site states that the game will be played on Wednesday 24 September subject to confirmation.
We've been paired with Aberdeen in each of the last three seasons in domestic cup games and lost every one of them. They were in the same league as us and there was massive incentive in two of those ties for us to progress to the Semi Finals and we failed to shake ourselves out of our usual "lacadazikal slumper" and got pumped out every time in a pathetic manner. And two years ago we were paired with Newco Rangers as the first top flight club to play them. If that didn't add a bit of spice to the tie then I don't know what would...and look what happed then.Originally Posted by wellowell
This tie will be no different and Accies will beat us.
