    Jonahfication... is there an answer?

Just finished watching the Burton game... I suppose we didn't deserve an awful lot out of the game although the stats tell us that we were their equal (better in that more attempts, more shots on goal, more corners). First goal we were asleep, Wynter didn't pick up his man and Ertl was flat footed, 2nd goal was a quality strike although seconds before I said to Mrs BK we are not closing them down enough. The 2nd goal was a pity as for about 20 mins before HT we were passing the ball around well, similarly up until the killer goal. The last 20 mins was poor, Burton just made the play scrappy and did the job.
Jonahfication though... what can be done about it ????

Can never understand why being a Jonah is unlucky. Ok he got thrown over board unlucky but then he got swallowed by a whale and survived now the chances of being swallowed by a and surviving and not drowning must make you very very lucky.

As for the game I thought that the midfield never really got into it Wallace never got going where as he had been superb in the second half against Yeovil and Holmes for all his running kept giving the ball away and the distribution from the centre mid was to predictable.

We can have all the possession we like, but if the Strikers don't strike how can we expect to win ?
We need sign Arthur Scargill...a proven striker.

There are some on here, (nos, no pack drill), but one lives on Hayling, another is a Taff exile and another mizzog from Newbury who say I am the Jonah. However I did a trial today and completely ignored the game like it wasn't happening and we still feckin' lost. All I can say is it ain't me babe, it ain't me you're looking for babe.

Going to see Bob Dylan all those years ago is clearly still having an effect on your vocabulary Maybe the Jonah is on automatic destruct after 2 league games

I think you are missing the point... it was a particularly selfless act to deny himself the pleasure of watching the game, reinforcing what a stalwart he is. This was done in the cause of casting out the Jonification aura that had been following him. All to no avail as he wasn't the culprit
