Fly proudly high over Downing Street,

I remember the "flag-waving Nationalists" insults.
I remember the furore over Alex Salmond waving a saltire at Wimbledon.
I remember the summer festivals where people had their flags removed.
I remember the saltire/union flag stunt by BT at the Commonwealth Games.
I will not forget any of these.
The saltire now flies over Downing Street, and the insult is complete.

The Union Jack ***g up-side down is the sign for distress !! Perhaps its this they should have flown !!

    What's the festivals crack?

It's only called a Union Jack when flown on a ship otherwise it's the Union Flag.

Nearly as bad as all the Glasgow Labour councillors who previously wanted to appease a section of the community by removing the Union Flag from the City chambers now having to toe the party line and promote the bettertogether campaign.

But the Saltire flew over Downing street at Wimbledon men's final day last year, long before Salmond dragged it in to the dirt.
