I couldn't really find much info on this but as this forum seems to be a hotbed of independence voters I wondered if you could help explain the situation.
Independence will create an international border between Scotland and England as Scotland won't be a member of the EU, in what way will it be possible to keep the borders open and prevent people from having to get travel visas (or use their new Scottish passports) every time they want to travel to England?

It'll be a f*cker getting past Miliband's razor wire, attack dogs and machine gun posts too.

Exactly. The reality is that what is left of the UK, England, Wales and Northern Ireland, will ask Scotland and Ireland for open borders just as they are now between the UK and Ireland as it will be in their interests to do so. If that was not the case ask yourself, would the current open border exist? Of course not. Look at current realities in these decisions not the lunatic rantings of the No campaign.Originally Posted by psych

Why would rUK need to ask Ireland for open borders when an agreement is already in place? Surely it'll be up to Scotland to fall in line and with rUK and Ireland policy.
Neilo trying to cause an argument when there is none. How come the open border between the North and South of Ireland seems to work perfectly well.
