It should have all been set out before the ref...

Exactly what the settlement will be if there is a yes vote.

I don't want any help from England in terms of currency, central bank, defence etc.

If Alex wants us to break away from rUK (England) then we do it alone. No blaming England/Westminster any more. WE STAND ALONE!!!!*

*everything will be England's fault for the next millennium so don't worry Salmond you won't be to blame.

    This ^^^^^^^

    Being serious for a minute.

All my life I've been listening to Nats telling me we are big enough, clever enough, rich enough, confident enough to run our own affairs without anyone's largess. However I may disagree with independence, that's at least a credible and admirable position.

But what we've got is a kind of cake and eat it independence. The yessers don't see how arrogant they are. Apparently we can break away form the UK but retain the right to tell them what to do. Could you imagine it the other way about? imagine them telling us we could have independence but we had to stay in a currency union with them? They would be indigent. But then again, grace and charm have never been nationalist strong points.

Independence should be independence. A clean break from the UK. Salmond knows he can't do it so he wants currency union (so England) will make the decisions over finance and then will rely on England to underwrite all the dodgy finance decisions.

    BIG FAT Bull alex

    Aye. It's that clear cut.

Independence - cut ties the morning after. Job done.

Forget trident. Forget security. Forget infrastructure. Forget how the f*cking country operates. Nothing to negotiate.

I worry aboot some of you c*nts.

Apologies if I was a c*nt earlier, nevermore-

    The referendum question is:
Should Scotland be an independent country?

    My interpretation of it is:
Can Scotland be a successful independent country?

There's a million different questions and issues involved but my reply is yes.

Both sides have things to sort out. Bitter together will have to decide what they'd are doing with trident, they have not prepared for it and this is one of the reasons they have really hit the panic button big time. They have realised that the rUK are the only ones who really are "better together". Flying Scottish flags will not help their cause.

Even if you remain in the same country (whatever country that is) you dont know what will happen. That is what government is - the people vote for a party based on their policies. Diferent future governemtns - in an independent Scotland or/and in the Uk wil offer different options. Indepdence is the principle and platform for that to happen.

No also constantly tell us that Salmood is arrogantly telling rUK what they will do for Indy Scotland. And yet confusingly you are now saying he should have decided everything - things which have to be negotiated with rUK. Make your mind up - he shoudl know and decide everythign or dicsuss and negotiate everything.

    Anyway y
