    Fitness work

Simon Ramsden's in the press today saying the squad did intensive fitness work during the international break and everyone in the squad is now a lot fitter. Petty they're about six weeks to late.

that confirms what many supporters have mentioned, i.e. the team didn't look fit.
No more trips abroad - next season get down to the sand dunes in ayrshire and whip them into shape.

What's more worrying is they've openly admitted the team's poor physical shape via a player interview !!
Smacks of complacency by the players & management. They've clearly thought by achieving 2nd spot on Pittawdrie Day that things would just tick over into the next season and been ill-prepared. Professionally unacceptable

No it doesnt it means the break allowed those who were injured and not fully fit to recover. It doesnt mean the entire squad were fit. So they must been standing with their finger up their arse for 8 weeks but can perform a miracle in two weeks. No doubt after next game youll be telling us carswells faster and so is sutton

No they havent it amazes me how motherwell fans read words into statements that arent there.

I've been saying it for weeks that the team were anything but fit - only to be shot down by the happy clappies for saying so. Just proves that McCall and Black have been neglecting their duties!

Watch the interview. The players admitted not being fit due to Europa, they said they did less fitness work in order to try and play games and the players view is that this impacted their fitness levels by a couple of weeks.

Clearly the break (as you've said) did give them a chance to catch up with it. It's not about improving just speed, fitness is allot more than that, including mental toughness.

If thats the case they ought to have started back at least a week before they did.
