Thread: Blackburn Away

    Blackburn Away

Assuming Buxton is suspended for Weds how do we re-juggle the defence? Bring Whitbread in? Shotton was done too often for pace so does Christie come back in at right back?

Am assuming Best will be ineligible.

Ward likely to be back but would like to see a bit more of Ibe as he did impress when he came on.

At least we have some depth now.

    Christie RB, Shotton holding.
    Whitbread CB.

Whitbread will slide straight in, I'd imagine. He was unlucky to lose his place at all after a MOTM performance vs. Charlton.

As for RB, Christie and Shotton is a tough call.

I think with Shotton/Christie its a horses for courses situation. I think Shotton was selected on Sunday for his strength. Other games will need an attacking full back which is where Christie comes in.

This is Whitbread's big chance and from the little we have seen,I think he is capable of doing a decent job

Agreed. I think we targeted them down their right, so Foosyth was told to push with Shotton holding back.

At home, i think Christie would have started

Whitebread will certainly drop into CB to replace Bucko, and needs to bring his confidence from earlier performance with him. Up against Rhodes and Gestede, I think he and Keogh will have their work cut out on Weds

I suspect Russell will drop to bench on Weds, with Ibe or Ward replacing him

Sorry Angry, but I reckon Eust will play holding role again. So far, Maskarel cant be doing enough in training to give Shteeve confidence to start him

Coming along on Weds for this one, not to far from Alderley up to Blackburn!

Was a bit disappointed with Shotton as he got skinned for pace on most occasions, Christie at right back and Zak to replace Buxton for me.
