The question is nothing to do with our current manager/owners etc. I'm just asking if anyone can remember a goal that fast, from that distance, from a standing position.

From a standing shot to get the power was special, can't remember many goals from a stand still position (other than pens)

Thought the team played well and will only get better, looking forward to Saturday night, not expecting points but providing we play like that I will not complain

It reminded me a bit of Tony Yeboah's goal for Leeds.


Apparently he has been doing it in training which sounds promising.


If we can't enjoy a West Ham goal like that and appreciate it's glory then what's the point? I'll not be slagging Allardyce off tonight (that can wait until tomorrow ), we had 60% possession, 16 shots, 1,000,000 corners and played with two strikers. . . . . . that will do for me.
