    Champions League

    Real Madrid looking good again.
Arsenal...the usual powder-puff display we're so used to seeing against the real top teams.
Mickey Mousers looking pretty ropey too.

Watching Juventus vs. Malmo atm, i don't usually bother with anything CL exept for the final, but it's the first time in 12 years a swedish team made the group stages

It's a big shame to me that, with football being so money driven, and players moving every 5 minutes, teams like Gothenburg, Malmo, Rapid Vienna, Anderlecht, St Etienne, Hamburg, Steaua are all highly unlikely to make finals/win the Champions League again.

Seeing the more exotics like Karl Zeiss Jeyna, Honved, Bruges etc doing well and reflecting golden generations in their football was always good to see.

Now it's mostly the same olds and faces until the next billionaire chooses a new pet project.

Never watch Champions League - it bores me absolutely s hitless to be honest

Watched the Madrid v Basel game and it showed the gap that now exists between the major clubs and the rest.

Last season Madrid beat Schalke (3rd best team in Germany) 6-1 away. And FFP will ensure no one else can hope to compete with the elite 7 or 8 that now stand head and shoulders above the rest.

FFP will eventually kill every major league in Europe imo. Competition is what makes football a compulsive watch but when the same teams dominate the trophies a lot of the appeal goes out of the window.

Yeah I agree. "FFP" should really say... "FFP for those lucky enough to turn-over 500 million a year be that in real turnover or 'cough cough... sponsorship deals'".

    re: Champions League

Liverpool the only English team to win this round.

Sounds like Citeh were unlucky to let one in at the death.

Chelsea are c.unts. That's all you need to know.
