    How was that statistic arrived at? Pollsters who were telling us that there'd only be a couple of points in the difference.

    Probably inevitable, as older folk will look back, rather than forward. A bit ridiculous that nearly 1m over-65s, with guaranteed pensions (regardless of Project Fear saying otherwise), could dictate the future of the country, though.

    Broadly, under 55s voted Yes and over 55s voted No. Seems kinda unfair given their lifespans and who has to take most of the consequences that are coming.

    It was repeatedly mentioned on the coverage that the vast majority of older and/or affluent voters were jumping on the NO bandwagon.

    These are the folk who had the least to lose with a yes vote and they bottled it in order to look after themselves in the short-term.

    At least the over 65s have the life experience needed to vote unlike the children salmond let vote.
