Motherwell fight for a point against Celtic

By all accounts that was a terrific performance. 100% concentration in defence and a fine Sutton goal. Happy day! - view external link

Indeed. I wasn't there so can't comment on the performance but a point at Parkhead is not to be sniffed at. Well done Motherwell.

Any kind of point at Celtic Park is always worth alot more than the mere points on the day. Over a season most of our rivals will lose there.

The boys really played with great intensity and concentration today. There weren't that many last-ditch heroics - they covered well and kept Celtic out of the danger area for most of the time. Of course there were hairy moments, but we organised well today and our goal was a good one.

A good result today and that should boost the squad's confidence ahead of Wednesday's big game. Our recent record at Parkhead is undistinguished to say the least and a point is a bonus.

We rarely get penalty decisions going our way there and yesterday was no exception.
