    Alex salmond

Brought back pride to be Scottish and gave the Scottish people a belief in their country that has been missing for years.

If all the promises the Scottish people were promised comes to be reality then alex salmonds job was successful.

If the promises turn out to be as useful as a rangers share on the stock market then salmond was right all along about the lies of Westminster.

A great man who made me proud to be Scottish, sad not everyone agreed with his vision of our country, they would rather live as a mere region of Westminster.

Politicians like Salmond are a rare breed nowadays, in UK politics anwyay. Passionate, loyal, principled. idealistic (yes that is a good thing) and the dignity to resign at the right time.

what is incredible is the people who took part in the big grass movement have said we don't want to stop now. They want to stay active. The latest figures are showing 10,000 have joined the SNP in the last few days and thousands have also joined the greens. Politics in Scotland is never going to be the same again.

That's true. It';s energised the whols political debate in Scotland and the UK and it is mostly very positive despite the efforts of some (only some) NO voters trying to convince themslves that everything is settled. They dont they realise politics is a constantly evolving entity>).

Even the Daily Mail is talking of another referendum in 15 years.
